The needy people we target are socially and financially disadvantaged whether they are poor in income, conditions and capabilities including health, education, skills or suffer from other socio-economic conditions.
These people need assistance to increase their awareness and analyse their options and opportunities, improve their education, gain or increase their income and improve other conditions leading to having healthy people and becoming effective community members with fulfilled potentials.
Many of the members in our organisation are migrants and refugees from overseas and have a passion and understanding for assisting disadvantaged people from Australia, Asia, Africa and other areas.
In the last few years, most if not all people we assisted came to the Centre seeking help. They came based on word of mouth and networking. We only help people who are needy, disadvantaged or marginalised after studying their cases.
St Mark Coptic Centre for Community Development has undertaken several activities to alleviate poverty and improve the socio-economic conditions of needy people.
