Our Targeted People
At St Mark Coptic Centre for Community Development we help the following:
Disadvantaged people in Australia, Egypt, Fiji, Samoa and other countries in Africa and Asia.
Poor migrants and refugees from several countries in Africa and Asia including but not limited to Egypt, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Iraq, Syria and Jordan and new generations born in Australia who have poor socio-economic conditions.
Persons affected by domestic violence or at risk of needy sick people in their homes or in hospitals such as Canberra Hospital, Calvary Hospital and others.
In case of patients overseas, assistance will be provided to those who cannot afford their procedures, medicines due to low income.
Inmates in the Alexander Maconochie Centre and the Bimberi Youth Justice Centre during and after their prison.
Those at risk of homelessness or are homeless.
Troubled seniors in nursing homes such as Villago San’ Antonio in Page, ACT and frail older persons in homes.
People affected by severe weather conditions including droughts, bush fires, floods, cyclones and other conditions.
Needy single mothers.
Parentless children who lost one or both of their parents.
